It was only as an artist that I realized just how large the universe is. It is not only massive in size but its also vast in time which leaves those who ponder about it, such as I, puzzled by the purpose of the intent to accomplishing anything in the unraveling of such vastness. But I am a great believer that human nature triumphs over the phenomenon of the unknown. This is why I have continued my interest in the sciences and begun to scrutinize the microcosms around me in hope to discover that which no one knows. My work reflects personal and general theories relating to the arts, sciences and society. They general mood of the work is a reflection of my personal feelings at the time the work was created. The energy in the work is influenced by multi-sensory stimuli, such as, sound, tactility, smell, and taste. The sensory information inversely parallels the figurative content. As the sensory information increases, so does the abstraction of the composition. In some cases overpowering the figurative content. The reason for the abstraction is due to the use of expressionistic and gestural forms to convey a presence of sound and other natural components into a visual form. This mix of techniques has enabled me to create work rich with subconscious and rational thought.
