Mirror

Formally speaking, Mirror is a re-contextualization of 4 appropriated texts. Theoretically speaking, Mirror is a Post-Structuralist experiment that questions authorship and textual ownership. All art-speak aside, I composed Mirror as three texts layered into one voice that is answered by a fourth. There is a rectangular box I consider a mirror that is a constant through the book, and the text is ‘timed’ through the book using translucent vellum that allowed me to layer the phrases of text so the viewer continually looks into the book for the next line of text.
