“Man Totem” is part of a series of collages that express what it is like to be a woman at the beginning of the post-modern era, specifically from the artist's point of view. This collage was created out of the experience of having a multitude of excruciating blind dates. Imagine each date being added to the totem pole of unbearable dates, each worse than the other.
