"RNC 2008" This painting was created in response to some activities and emotions I observered when the Republican National Convention was held in Minnesota. This work combines the Republican elephant symbol and a gas mask. I intended this work would reflect the conflicts between social order and disorder that was real or anticipated. Before, during and after the convention a predominate theme in the news and discussion revolved around the reaction and over reactions of persons of different viewpoints.
