Mixed Emotions

Mixed Emotions is a work that celebrates the many emotions that come at us all at once and in our searching through these feelings that we get a better understanding of how we remember, relate and respond to each other. It is about sharing many different emotions at one time, and seaching through them; it is in this struggle that makes us endure and be stronger. This work was brought about by a series of different events happening at the same time in my life. I chose to sketch in charcoal first, quickly and vigiously my different emotions at the time, they were all blended together. I added water and white acrylic washes. I consider this piece a soundingboard for a new work in a series. It has invoked feelings in others who have viewed the piece, and I would like to share it with more audiences.
