Since I was a child, my sketchbooks stored all of my thoughts, emotions, observations, and curiosities about life. Imagery was my best known language, and remains today as my truest form of expression and communication. Sometimes I find that it is easier to create a painting that tells of my feelings than it is to actually say the words. It can feel quite lonely - not knowing how to say the things that I am feeling. But when I am alone in my studio, sharing my thoughts on canvas, I never actually feel alone. In tough times, on sad days, there is nothing that makes me feel more complete than to pick up my paintbrush, crank some music, and spill my guts in an explosion onto canvas. I have found my voice here in my studio, and creating my work is my chance to open my heart and share my thoughts - both good and bad - with the world.
