Another Barrier, Another Strength

This was a piece done on impulse one night when I was doing something completely different, I had a strong urge to paint. It is a figure cowering in fear, much like I did as a child from my parents. The figure is mostly dark to represent a "barrier" being built" with every trauma, and the soft-colored aura around the figure represents that kindness still given, even though these things have happened (the colors were not planned like this, I analyzed days after the piece was finished).
