For 2 years our family lived on the Gran Canaria, owned by Spain, in 1960 and 61. For me it was influencia and mind-experiencial. For my father it unleashed a burst of creative activity in his use of photography to document in a creative way-a trait he continued after returning home and working for local area newspaper especially the Sun. This image was taken during one of the many Catholic events in the plaza outside the Church of Santa Brigida.
