My work is rooted in revolutionary innovations and could not have been created fourteen years ago. Most art is created using techniques that are centuries old. Art history is full of incremental change. Digital painting, by comparison, is a bold leap into the future of human expression through art. Digital painting is created from the human hand and the eye and the heart, just like any other form of art. The computer is a tool no different from paint, pens, or palette knives. What different tools do is provide different routes to the goal. As a new medium, digital painting presents new frontiers and exciting creative possibilities. Currently, my focus is on bicycles. I enjoy taking a functional object, such as a pedal or cog, and exploring the beauty of the simple, yet elegant, lines and curves.
