My name is Farid De La Ossa. I am a Colombian Chemical engineer that came to the US in 2001 to change his lifestyle by joining a Catholic Religious community called the Claretians. I was born in 1975 and I hold a Master of Divinity that I got from Catholic Theological Union. In May / 2006 at Chicago (US). While living in Chicago, I have had the opportunity to work with poor mmigrants from many places, which has given me the opportunity of learning about the daily living of many people who really struggle to survive in the US, Colombia and Jamaica. By using the Mandala Format (use of circles in order to relate different realities) I have tried to show as much as I can from that reality by integrating it with Nature and my relationship with God and in that way to express that there is a Supreme Being, who is in everyone and everywhere, who is on the side of the outcast and marginalized and that, therefore, is inviting us to bring justice to the world by all means. To express what I have observed in this active way is to do guerrilla art because it stimulates the spectator to take action on the issues I have shown with my artwork.
