Photography has been a magical process for me since the first time I saw an image appear on photographic paper. I want to do more than just chronicle real life or events; I want to create my own form of reality and magic. I want the viewer to be bewildered by the imagery, and to walk away from my photograph wondering what the real story is. My work is largely narrative. I see it as an autobiographical documentation of my life; a sort of visual diary where internal and external realities are inseparably intertwined. I use photography to stylistically record and reconstruct fantasies, myth, dreams, realities, travels, the supernatural, the destructive, the violent, the beautiful and the ugly. The images I photograph are a reflection of all that I am fascinated and preoccupied with, on conscious and sub-conscious levels of awareness. My intent is to show the viewer "snippets of a separate world. My purpose is to create a unique visual experience that will engage the viewer on different levels of conscious perception while evoking familiar emotions.
