Women of the Red Light is part of an ongoing series of people, places and things that focuses on secluded moments in time. Images of women have been a natural subject of interest in my work throughout my history of painting, sculpture and photography. The process has been about a continuous discovery into my life, the identification of other women and those identical moments where we all feel like vulnerable, isolated women waiting for change. It carries me to a place that is silent, a place of contemplation and thought that commingles with my surroundings. The work itself becomes a waiting place for fantasy and memory.
